Definition
A visible or palpable enlargement of the tendon.
Clinical Details
As the body fails to repair the tendon properly, it produces excessive, disorganized scar tissue (fibroplasia). This causes the tendon to feel noticeably thickened, nodular, and rubbery compared to a healthy tendon.
