Definition
Tiny fluid-filled blisters that form on the surface of the cornea.
Clinical Details
In advanced stages, the severe fluid retention causes the top layer of the cornea to blister. If these painful blisters rupture, they expose nerve endings and severely increase the risk of eye infections.
