A temporary loss of consciousness usually related to insufficient blood flow to the brain.
Clinical Details
During physical exertion, the calcified valve cannot open widely enough to meet the body's sudden demand for increased blood flow. This sudden drop in cardiac output deprives the brain of oxygen, causing the patient to faint.
