Muscle pain or cramping in the legs triggered by activity and relieved by rest.
Clinical Details
Atherosclerosis in the peripheral arteries deprives the leg muscles of adequate oxygen during walking. This causes a predictable, severe cramping pain in the calves that stops quickly when the patient rests.
