Definition
An abnormally high arch in the foot.
Clinical Details
The asymmetrical weakness of the intrinsic foot muscles alters the mechanics of the foot, gradually pulling the bones into a high, rigid arch and causing hammertoes. This makes finding proper footwear very difficult.
