Gradually worsening lack of voluntary coordination of muscle movements.
Clinical Details
This is the hallmark symptom, beginning with unsteadiness and a staggering gait. Over roughly a decade, the loss of coordination becomes so profound that the patient inevitably requires a wheelchair.
