An exceptionally fast decline in mental abilities, occurring over weeks or months.
Clinical Details
Unlike Alzheimer's which takes years to progress, CJD destroys cognitive function with terrifying speed. Patients rapidly lose memory, judgment, and the ability to think coherently within weeks of the initial onset.
