A sleep disorder where patients physically act out vivid, often unpleasant dreams.
Clinical Details
The normal paralysis that occurs during REM sleep is absent, leading patients to yell, punch, kick, or thrash while dreaming. This can cause significant injury to the patient or their bed partner.
