Definition
A condition due to a compressed nerve in the spine that can cause pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness.
Clinical Details
If the degenerating disc bulges and compresses a nearby spinal nerve root, pain will radiate outward. This can manifest as sharp, shooting pain traveling down the leg (sciatica) or into the arm.
