Description
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative disease caused by the deterioration of brain cells in a few small but important areas at the base of the brain, associated with the over-accumulation of the tau protein. This damage severely impairs the brain's ability to coordinate movement, control eye tracking, and regulate mood. It typically becomes evident in people during their late 60s and progresses more rapidly than Parkinson's disease.
